Modernization of the propulsion and fan section of the oil extraction enterprise

The ELAKS team implemented the second stage of modernization of the propulsion and fan section at one of the leading oil extraction enterprises in Ukraine.
During the first stage, the section was put into operation in manual mode - with basic control functions provided.
The second stage was the transition to full automation of technological processes.

The project included:

  • dismantling of outdated, installation and installation of new MCC cabinets, with integration into the automated control system of the technological complex;
  • development of transport equipment control programs in accordance with technological routes;
  • setting up automatic start, stop and route restructuring modes;
  • expanding the diagnostic capabilities of the system for prompt response to events and notification of personnel.

Technical architecture of the solution:

The project was implemented on the basis of the Siemens Simatic S7-300 controller.

All peripherals are built on remote I/O stations from Weidmüller, which provides reliable communication, flexibility in system expansion and ease of maintenance.

At the top level of control, the Siemens WinCC SCADA system was implemented, which provides:

  • real-time visualization of the technological process - with display of the status of conveyors, valves, motors and movement routes;
  • centralized control of equipment operation;
  • monitoring of emergency and warning messages with event archiving;
  • creation of data logs for performance analysis and technology optimization;
  • a convenient operator interface that allows you to quickly change parameters or routes without interfering with the controller's software logic.

Thanks to the implementation of an integrated system based on Siemens Simatic S7-300 + WinCC and the experience of the ELAKS team, the department has been transferred from manual to fully automated operation.

 

The system ensures the stability of the technological process, reduces start-up and changeover times, and increases the level of safety and equipment control.
