Installation of an automatic system for introducing factory power reserve

The ELAKS team completed a project to implement an automatic backup power supply system (ATS) at a factory manufacturing instant food products in a 0.4 kV switchboard.

At the time of the start of work on the facility, switching power from the network (during a power outage) to the backup sources of the DSU was carried out manually, which did not meet the requirements for the continuity of the production process.

At the request of the Customer, an automatic system for introducing two DSUs to the factory load was designed and implemented with the function of automatically returning consumers to the normal power supply mode from the network after its restoration.

In the 0.4 kV PrismaSet switchboard, using Schneider Electric equipment, the following was performed:

  • replacement of two load switches with ratings of 1250 A and 800 A with EasyPact MVS circuit breakers;
  • implementation of mechanical interlocking of the DSU switches with input switches;
  • reassembly of busbar connections;
  • reassembly of secondary control, interlocking and automation circuits.

After completion of commissioning work (PNR), the system was tested and put into operation.
According to information from the Customer, the automatic input of the reserve is working normally, and the ELAKS company received positive feedback on the quality of the work performed.
