Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) in Italy
A team of specialists from the company ELAKS, in collaboration with representatives of a chocolate factory, has completed a series of final acceptance tests (FAT) for the automatic secondary packaging line for cookies at a production facility in Italy.
These tests were conducted to verify both the hardware and software components of the new line, ensuring they meet the agreed specifications and guarantee flawless operation before being shipped to the factory.
Factory acceptance tests include a detailed inspection of every aspect of the line's operation in a controlled factory environment. The ELAKS team also familiarized themselves with the working algorithms and software of the control systems based on Rockwell PLC and HMI systems.
After the tests were completed, the dismantling of the equipment was supervised for subsequent installation at the Customer's site and the commissioning of the line.
Additionally, measures were taken to ensure online communication with the Italian equipment manufacturer, allowing for prompt responses to any technical issues in the future.
The importance of FAT lies in identifying and addressing any potential issues before the equipment is installed in the production facility. This approach significantly reduces the risks associated with the implementation of new equipment and helps ensure the stability of production processes and the high quality of the final product.
